At Orange County Education and Recreation Collective (OCREC), we believe in the power of young leaders to create meaningful change. Our volunteer program is designed for high school students who want to give back, learn new skills, and connect with children and families in a supportive and uplifting environment.

Volunteer Opportunities

Circle Time Volunteer (Lead or Co-Lead)

Bring your creativity to life by helping design and facilitate fun, interactive group activities for young children. As a Circle Time Volunteer, you’ll have the chance to lead or co-lead sessions that spark connection and joy through:

• 🎶 Music & Movement

• 🎨 Arts & Crafts

• 📖 Storytelling

• 🔔 Sound Baths & Sensory Play

Whether you’re comfortable taking the lead or prefer to support alongside another volunteer, there’s space for your strengths here.

Neurodiversity Awareness Training

All volunteers receive introductory training to help you:

• Understand and support neurodivergent children

• Create safe, inclusive group spaces

• Build confidence as a peer mentor and community helper
